MİSYON

Psikoloji Bölümünün misyonu evrensel ve kültürel değerler çerçevesinde, bilimsel bakış açısı ve ilkelerden hareketle, psikoloji biliminin temel bilgi, kuram ve yaklaşımlarına hakim, psikolojinin çalışma alanlarında bilimsel düşünme yetisine sahip, mesleğinde etik ilkeleri ve insani değerleri benimsemiş, sorumluluk bilinciyle hareket eden, bunun yanında eleştirel, özerk ve yaratıcı düşünebilen, araştırma ve sorgulama yetkinliği gelişmiş, bireysel ve toplumsal sorunlara duyarlı, bu sorunlara yaratıcı çözümler üretebilen, alanında yetkin ve yeterli psikologlar yetiştirmektir. 

VİZYON

Psikoloji Bölümü'nün vizyonu, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf Üniversitesi'nin vizyonu doğrultusunda, öğrencilerine akademik ve bireysel gelişimlerini destekleyen bir öğrenme ve uygulama ortamı sunmak, evrensel düzeyde eğitim vererek psikoloji biliminin ilerlemesine hem yerel hem de küresel düzeyde katkı sağlamak, bireylerin ve toplumun iyi oluşuna katkı sağlayacak niteliklere sahip, çağdaş evrensel standartlar doğrultusunda, bilimsel düşünce ve etik sorumluluk bilinciyle hareket eden, bireysel ve toplumsal sorunlara sürdürülebilir çözümler üreten psikologlar yetiştirmektir. Ayrıca Türkiye ve dünyadaki üniversitelerin Psikoloji Bölümleri arasında tanınmış ve tercih edilen bir psikoloji bölümü olmaktır.

                                                                                                                                                                                                    

MISSION

The mission of the Psychology Department is to educate competent and qualified psychologists who have a strong command of the fundamental knowledge, theories, and approaches of psychology within the framework of universal and cultural values, guided by scientific principles and perspectives. Our graduates will be able to apply scientific thinking skills in various fields of psychology, embrace ethical principles and human values in their profession, act with a sense of responsibility, and think critically, autonomously, and creatively. Additionally, they will develop strong research and inquiry skills, be sensitive to individual and societal issues, and produce effective solutions to these problems.

VISION

In line with the vision of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, the vision of the Psychology Department is to provide students with a learning and practical environment that supports their academic and personal development. By delivering education at a universal level, we aim to contribute to the advancement of psychology both locally and globally. Our goal is to cultivate psychologists who possess the qualities to enhance individual and societal well-being, adhere to contemporary universal standards, act with scientific reasoning and ethical responsibility, and generate sustainable solutions to personal and social challenges. Furthermore, we aspire to become a recognized and preferred psychology department among universities in Turkey and worldwide.
